The story behind the SAIN^® brand began in the 1980s when scientist Evžen Kasafírek at the Research Institute for Pharmacy and Biochemistry in Prague discovered the bioactive peptide alaptide, which has absolutely extraordinary properties that promote natural skin regeneration and healing processes.

However, it was nearly thirty years before this discovery was put to practical use, when two other scientists—Pavel Martásek at the 1st Medical Faculty at Charles University and medical chemist Vladimír Král—started examining the alaptide molecule once again in cooperation with the Czech company GlobeTech Innovation. This partnership resulted in the presentation of a unique range of innovative cosmeceutical products under the SAIN^® brand. SAIN® products are opening a new era in successful collaboration between Czech scientists at Charles University and Czech companies.

SAIN^® is proud of its Czech origins. All the products are made in the Czech Republic in cooperation with local companies, Charles University and the BIOCEV medical centre, with emphasis on sustainability and ecology.

SAIN^® product recipes are based on a patented method of using the bioactive alaptide molecule and combining it with cosmetic and pharmaceutical products with proven healing and regenerative effects on your skin.

The carefully chosen wood is meticulously processed by a small family-owned company, where it passes through the hands of talented joiner Roman Buršíček. Roman has specialised in designer joinery and modern custom-made furniture for over twenty years. His experience, passion and sense for working with the unique natural material of Czech oak, are contributing to the next chapter of the SAIN^® brand.

The SAIN^® story is also written in western Bohemia, where the company Thun 1794, the largest Czech porcelain manufacturer, is located in Nová Role near Karlovy Vary. This company has produced porcelain of the highest quality, using traditional methods, for over two centuries. Our unique porcelain pots are fired at a temperature of 1405°C at the factory.
